I typed text into a row but when I checked it had turned into a link.
The row has the Visual Editor widget but I got the same thing with the Text widget.
I have checked the code behind the ‘link’ but there is no indication that a link has been created.

Help!
Hi Webman
Thanks for reaching out.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Andrew,
Thank you. The website is https://radcliffe-on-trentdramagroup.co.uk/ <https://radcliffe-on-trentdramagroup.co.uk/> and the page is accessed via Past Productions, then it’s 2020 – 2024 and the wording The Ladykillers <http://www.radcliffe-on-trentdramagroup.co.uk/The%20Boadicea%20of%20Britannia%20Street> should not be a link and I don’t know how it became a link!!
I hope you can find what I’ve done wrong.
Hi, thanks for the details. Please, edit the Editor Widget. Click on the Text tab within the widget. Take a screenshot and upload it to your Media Library or to a site like imgur.com and send the link. We’ll take a look and advise from there.
Andrew,
I’m not sure I fully understood what you were asking but here is the screenshot.
Thanks for your reply. The forum doesn’t support email attachments. When able, please, upload your screenshot or screenshots to your Media Library or to a site like imgur.com or wetransfer.com and send the link. We’ll take a look and advise from there.
Andrew,
I’ve uploaded the screenshot on to my Media Library.
Hi. It isn’t possible to upload images to the forum either via email or by posting directly here at Thread: Text became unwanted link. To work around this you can upload screenshots to any publicly viewable location like your Media Library or an image sharing site like imgur.com. Once you’ve uploaded your screenshots, please, share the link to the screenshot file so that we can view the image. Thanks.
Andrew,
Sorry if I’m messing you about but I’m not too sure if this is what you want.

Hope this is what you’re after.
I’ve sent it via Dropbox which I’m signed up for.
I tried to start from scratch to redo the page. It happened again! It seems to occur because I added a pic with a link to another page in the same row, in the cell before where the unwanted ‘link’ occurs.
The cell before contains this code.
Thanks for the update.
The Dropbox link, unfortunately, isn’t correct. When logged into Dropbox, right-click on the file in question and click Copy link.
Andrew,
I finally cracked it. It was a simple html coding issue, I’d missed off the closing on the previous image link so it continued to the next line.
Sometimes it’s the simplest things.
Cheers,
Jon
Hi Jon
Nicely spotted! I’ve made that same mistake in the past.
All the best with your site. As queries or requests arise, please, let us know via a new thread.
Cheers for now.
