L.s.
For a client I made a website in WordPress, Vantage theme and PageBuilder by Site Origin.
This website has been working fine for a year or so, but since the last update the news part doesnt align like it should in pagebuilder. I noticed the alignment is good when you use no background color or image.
Website with wrong alignment: https://ipa-bv.nl/ (scroll to News and see aligment is too far to the right, scroll even more down to Tenders and the alignment is even more off)
Website with good alignment: https://ipa-bv.nl/about-us/ (scroll down to Vacancies, which is good)
All made with PageBuilder, difference is one uses background color, the other one not.
I hope you can help me with this.
Rimal,
Hi Rimal,
I just had a quick look at your website and I can’t seem to see the incorrect alignment on the homepage, but admittedly, I can’t see to see anything regarding the news. Can you please try adding this section back so I can take a look at it? Sorry about this!
Hi ALex,
Thank you for your reply.
I have been working on the website for some time now to return it to a state which was good enough for my client. So i cant change it back. But you can see on the about us page the page is horizontal scrollable, on the other pages its not horizontal scrollable. Its the same problem as with the the alignment with News. When you use a background color in a page builder row everything changes, and all off a sudden the page is horizontally scrollable or the items you import to that panel jump to the right.
Like i said it all worked for over a year until the last update. i tested the horizontal scroll, if I add a background color it appears,
when you use no background color for a row the horizontal scroll is gone, just like the alignment of news.Ffor now the website is ok (minus the horizontal scroll on about us). I hope you are able to look into this, i cant do too much about that site, because the client is using it daily.
Maybe with the next update there is a fix for this again, because it used to be without any problem.
with regards,
Shiva Rimal,

Hi Shiva,
This is happening due to a legacy setting. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsLayout and untick Force Page Builder Styles Full Width. How does that look? This setting allows for backgrounds to always be the full width of the page but it’s done in a manner that’s not really… well, it’s not in a good manner so we don’t recommend using it. This setting will only affect rows that were that use either a background color or image. It looks like the setting has finally completely broken so it’s likely we’ll likely just end up removing it in an update.
You can manually set a row to full width by opening it and heading over to the row styles sidebar. Open the Layout settings group and set the row layout to Full Width and save. That’ll replicate the previous full width background without the issue.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply, i want to stress I'm really happy with page builder, it is very easy to build pages because of it.
I'll try your suggestion tomorrow. But does it mean in future we cannot use background color or images in rows? or it will be fixed and all is fine, like it used to be?
Thanks again,
Shiva Rimal,

Hi Rimal,
No. The only change is that you’ll need to set the background image/color to full width of you would like for it to be full width. This is how SiteOrigin Page Builder normally works and it previously didn’t work like this for you in Vantage due to a legacy setting (that’s causing you issues and thus not something we recommend using).
