Hi – First off, I am really enjoying my Vantage Premium theme. I am, however, having lots of trouble posting javascript interactive visualizations from Tableau Public in Posts. They appear for a second then vanish. I’ve tried modifying the embed code (removing tags, putting allowing scripts direction in the footer/header, etc.) but not had any luck.
I’ve read in other treads how there is a ‘conflict’ between TP and SiteOrigin themes, but I do not understand the resolution instructions, how to implement them or the wider implications of the fixes. I am pretty new to any type of web development and have beginner/ basic understanding.
I use the interactive charts on tableau a lot, so it is really impossible for me to scale-back my reliance on them.

Can you quickly try de-activating FitVids from Appearance > Theme Settings > Layout and let me know if that helps? I think that was the problem.

So, I am now having trouble embedding these visualizations into Pages on my theme. It is showing a static box with an unplayable “play” button. I checked back on the Posts page at they seem to work there. I don’t know what to do.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

Right. Sorry about that. I just check and it worked for me to post the Tableau visualization code into a Page using the Text widget in Page Builder – great. I’d be interested to know if it is just a no-go using the Editor widget or if there is some step I am missing. Thanks!
I see the problem. Use the Text or Visual Editor widget instead. The Visual Editor widget is powered by the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/.

Text widget: works
Visual Editor widget (Black Studio TinyMCE) using its Text tab: Works
SiteOrigin Editor: buggy, rather don’t use for this application
