Desperate for help. I’m a new WordPress user and have a managed WordPress instance thru GoDaddy (duraeuroposarchive.org), designed on the Vantage theme.
I have designed my site and am ready to launch, but it seems I’m stuck in “Coming Soon” mode. I’m ready to publish, but my dashboard says “your site is not available to the public”. Searching previous forum queries, it seems I should be able to toggle to “public” view from my dashboard Settings->General and then scroll down to “privacy”, but when I go Settings->Privacy I have no “privacy” section. As the directions stipulate, if I go Settings->Privacy it takes me to info about how to set up a privacy policy for my website and provides template text.
I have been many hours going round with GoDaddy tech support and they claim it is a developer-side issue. But I’ve tried switching to the Twenty Twenty-Two theme and disabling all my plugins and it still persists. Any advice or ideas to troubleshoot? I’m about at the end of my rope with GoDaddy WordPress support–I swear it seems they have never even used WordPress!
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any sites hosted with GoDaddy to check. You could perhaps try showing the support staff your site with all plugins deactivated and only a default theme in use to rule out any third-party developer involvement.
