Hi,
On the home page I am using the same image for the background footer as for the meta slider. The meta slider image is fully responsive on smaller devices but the footer background image is cropped to fit the screen. (as on http://nanatechbeta.co.uk )
Is there any way to resolve this? Thank you.
Hi Margaret,
Unfortunately, this cannot be resolved. The Meta Slider contains an HTML based image while the footer background is applied as a CSS background. CSS Backgrounds are less responsive due to the technical requirements. Specifically, CSS backgrounds are forced to maintain the height of the container (being the footer) and to ensure the browser will go so far as to clip the sides of the image off.
Sorry mate. :(
Thank you for your response Alex. My client likes the footer background image, so will just have to accept that it’s going to have different proportions to the Meta Slider.
Margaret
