Sticky menu dropping down on scroll

I am implementing a rebuild and using ecommerce templates store.
The sticky menu in my WordPress theme vantage works fine on non store pages ie it moves up as the header disappears then holds at the top of the screen,
On store pages as you scroll down the menu starts to disappear at the top and is then duplicated about 2″ down the screen while the original disappears.
The page will them continue to scroll behind the menu which stays 2″ down
When you scroll back to top it repositions ok.
As the site is in build mode I am using a hosts redirect which you would need to implement to see the problem. Menu option experiences > VIP days will take you to the first store page.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. Looks ok in OS X Chrome. What browser, browser version and operating system are you testing on?

  4. 9 years, 7 months ago Bird on the Hand

    Thanks Andrew

I am using it in chrome – but I am logged in for development.
Tried it in IE and Firefox and it is ok.
As you are finding it ok in chrome it looks like developer view in WordPress is messing it up.
Just logged out to prove it
    B*****d computer systems. :)

    Hi, I Work Here

That’s right. All looks normal on my side in OS X Chrome and Firefox. The sticky menu unfortunately isn’t working with this shop plugin in Safari. I’ll log a bug report but I’m afraid in the case of plugin conflicts like this, it might be best to forgo the sticky menu. We do our best to make sure the theme functions well with most plugins but there are unfortunately cases like this where a conflict arises.

If it’s only Safari that is battling with the sticky menu you could also just leave it on. Nothing is breaking in Safari on my side, it’s just that the sticky menu isn’t working.

Is it causing a functional problem or is it just not sticky in Safari?

    Hi, I Work Here

There is no functional problem in Safari, the menu is just no-sticky, it’s a regular statically positioned menu.

That’s ok. Safari loses out and the rest are ok.
Does the jump to top button work on safari?

I’m experiencing the same issue on some pages, in several browsers, but only when not logged in.
For instance at my guestbook page http://villabussola.eu/gastenboek-villa-bussola/ You can create a testaccount here and see that when logged in the problem is gone. Must have something to do with the form i guess….

I still have this problem but get round it by having an alternative browser not logged in to review pages.
    It isn’t a big problem.
