SSL Certificate

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Hello SiteOrigin Moderators,
I am building a new website and have added the woo commerce to try and sell a few products. Can you recommend an in-expensive SSL certificate plug in that works well with Woo Commerce? The tutorials say I will need one to go through Paypal, but I don’t want to spend too much not yet knowing how my site will perform. I also read on the form that some people were having compatibility issues after adding SSL certificates to their sites, so wanted to see if you had recommendations.

Thank you.

    Hi Tony,

Firstly, I would recommend contacting your hosting provider to check if you have a free SSL due to your hosting plan – that’s becoming a really common thing these days. If not, ask if there are any special requirements for adding an SSL certificate to your website – you hosting plan may need to change as you’ll require certain things for the SSL certificate.

If there aren’t any, check out namecheap. I’ve used them in the past and found them quite reliable and… well, cheap.
