Special characters bug in SiteOrigin Text widget

Hello, thanks for the quick fix for the recent problem with the SiteOrigin Text widget which didn´t load the editor. I have issues now though with special characters using the Siteorigin Text widget. Whenever i update text and include german characters like ü, ä, ß, and save, these characters then appear as ä, ö and so on, and that also would show up on the frontend… is there an encoding issue now?

This definitely didn´t happen before the update today.

Thanks for looking into it!
Michael

Please help, this is very annoying.. every time i want to update a page now i have to re-check all the contents and replace the weird characters with the actual ones :-( This wasn´t happening before the last recent update.

    Thanks!
    Michael
