sow-hero-default-***.css files auto-create, but do not assume theme typography default settings

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Any ideas would help… my problem is below.

I see that CSS files get auto-created inside /wp-content/uploads/siteorigin-widgets/ for my Hero widget for each new page.

I can’t wrap my head around is where the code is setting the default font size (for H1 > H6) for these CSS files & why it isn’t using the default values set in the theme customizer, is there a way to get the auto-generating CSS files for the Hero Widget to use the theme default settings?

OR… Is there somewhere else I can define the Hero widgets default to something I choose? Nothing I enter in the pagebuilder for the Hero widget overrides this auto-created 38px value, also baffling. Even after manually purging the associated css file that’s autogenerated in the folder above.

here’s an example of the auto-generated css definition which I would expect to use the theme default setting set in Appearance > Themes > Customize > Typography for an h1 of 60px)

.so-widget-sow-hero-default-471edf15fcdb .sow-slider-base ul.sow-slider-images .sow-slider-image-wrapper h1 {
  font-size: 38px;
}

I’m using the following:
WordPress 4.7.4 running Create theme.
Create Version: 2.1.2 By ThemeTrust.com

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Joe,

    Please open the SiteOrigin Hero widget and open the Design and Layout settings group, and adjust the Header Size as desired. Not all themes allow you to change the header size, and certain users wish to alter the header size for specific hero widgets which is why we all for this.

    To clarify, the CSS file will always be regenerated if missing due to the stylesheet being present due to styling reasons.
