Hello, I upgraded to the new version of SO widgets 1.9.2 and Page Builder 2.5.6. Now I’m missing some widgets on my home page and one of my pages is missing it’s content. Should I just revert to the previous version and how do I get them? Thank you!
Best Regards,
Jesus
This is still me
So I went back and deactivated both the Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widegets Bundle to see which one might be causing the problem. I believe it’s the SO Widgets Bundle because when I installed the Page builder it allowed me to see some of my content but then I’ll install the SO Widgets Bundle and it won’t let me see it on the front end. In the back end I’ll try to go to a Site Origin Editor and “edit” it. Then I’ll I get a “You need to install SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle to use the widget SiteOrigin_Widget_Editor_Widget.” When it technically is installed. That’s what is leading me to believe it is the SiteOrigin Widegets Bundle. Can I get the previous update for both to see if that will work? It was working fine before the updates. Or any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
Update: it’s when I deactivate the “page builder” that allows me to see some content on a page(but not on all pages) but when I activate it, it won’t let me see either page and I went back to old previous SO widgets Bundle version and that didn’t help.
Any help will be truly appreciated it!
Hi Numark
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
If that doesn’t help, would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
I do not recommend reverting to a previous version of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle as this isn’t a widespread issue (this means its hard for us to work out how to resolve this issue as we don’t have anything to test against). Regardless, you can roll back to the previous version of SiteOrigin Page Builder and/or the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle by using WP Rollback. Once installed please navigate to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and find Page Builder by SiteOrigin and click rollback and rollback to the last version. Then please navigate back to the installed plugins list and find SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and click rollback and rollback to the last version.
Thank you for the reply Alex, it turned out to be the Max Buttons plugin that was causing the issue. I went to their forms and it looked like other people also had your plugins and were having the same issue. It looks like they might be working on fixing the problem. I reverted back to their previous version using the WP rollback (thank you for that plugin, it makes it a lot easier!) and now everything works fine! Thank you so much for your help!
Hi Numark,
I’m glad you were able to resolve this issue and thank you for the heads up on the Max Buttons issue. :)
