I am confused about what this widget does. I had no trouble installing the buttons, but I thought their function was to enable people to share my content on their own social media. Instead these buttons take the person to the social media platform they choose, but don’t put the content into a post. Did I do something wrong or did I not understand what the buttons do?
Are they supposed to just take the user to my own social media? Thanks for any help!
Hi Maven,
Unfortunately, no. The SiteOrigin Social Media Buttons widget is for linking to social Media profiles rather than sharing buttons.
As for social sharing, I’m personally a huge fan of WP Social Sharing but there are many other options available.
Thank you! Social Sharing is awesome but it’s more than I need (or understand). I went with Super Socializer, which works well.
