So Layout slider + So Headline font color?

I’ve made a slider with frames and content. But when I define the colors for the headlines in the frames (sometimes light, sometimes dark, depending on the pictures) I cannot get the desired colors, ever. The only setting that stays or changes globally is font color in the overall slider.
I cannot – no matter what I di – get the single frames to have colors, even though the option does exist withing Headline.
Any help?
I’ve tried all sorts of combinations here – clearing font colors in various settings, putting colors in… no joy.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Linda

    Thanks for reaching out.

At the moment, the Design and Layout section in the Layout Slider is taking precedence over the colors set in the Headline widget in a frame. Can you perhaps try setting the colors in the Design and Layout section and see if that helps. This, of course, assumes that all your colors are the same in all frames. I’ll try to get this issue moved up the list. In the meantime, if my suggestion doesn’t help, please send a link to the page and I’ll try to assist with some Custom CSS.

    Thank you Andrew!

I'll have to change approach then, unless you can pint me in the direction of some css (and where to say this in the headline widgets fields)

This is the page, it's the top slider, and you can easily see the problem:

ps: I did also use various other approaches (hero image, other SO widgets don't remember which right now, I took a tour until I found a solution), but
I struggled, I need that slider to be full screen and be able to set height.
+ have text + sometimes white, sometimes dark grey — and be able to change the slides as wished.

My last ditch: make all slides in photoshop, I'd rather avoid if possible

    :-))

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi Linda, would you like to try the fix? If so, edit the Layout Slider and locate the Heading and Text color settings, reset those to default, this must be done first. Next, go to Plugins, deactivate and delete the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Finally, download the release candidate version here and install from PluginsAdd NewUpload PluginActivate. Let me know how it goes.
