Smooth scrolling only works once

Hello!

I am trying to implement smooth scrolling to my anchor on my main page. I have tried 5-6 different js codes for this function and also some WP plugins. No matter what way I do it, it always works once (it scrolls smoothly to my contact form), than next time I use it it simply jumps to the correct position. Since I have tried a lot of different solutions I guess my script keeps getting removed from the Contact menu element. Do you have any idea what could cause this problem? The theme’s source code is too vast for me to figure it out.

I managed to figure out that it is caused by sticky menu. My script only stops working when sticky menu pops back into its place at the top of the site. However I like sticky menu so I am still looking for a solution :).

    Hi Szendrői

This sounds like a bug Greg will need to investigate. I’m logging it for his review now. Please check the changelog after a new version is released to see if we’ve resolved this issue:

    Hello,

was this issue solved? Could you tell me which plugin or code you use?

    Thanks

    Hello,

I’m having the same problem: smooth scrolling with sticky menu enabled works only once. When sticky menu is turned off everything works flawlessly. I am using Vantage Premium 2.2.3 with the Easy Smooth Scroll Links plugin.

    Thanks for your help,
    Patrick

    Hi, I Work Here

We unfortunately haven’t been able to resolve this yet.

What smooth scrolling plugin are you using?

I’ve tried “Easy Smooth Scroll Links” and “jQuery Smooth Scroll”. Both showing the same problem after the first use with sticky menu enabled.

I’m using “Easy Smooth Scroll Links” and don’t have any trouble. After I posted here, I tried some options and it was the best.

After some further investigation with the “Easy Smooth Scroll Links” plugin I found out that I can avoid the problem when choosing “logo in menu” instead of “default masthead”.

When the layout is set to “default masthead” I am loosing the smooth scrolling effect only when I’m scrolling back to the very top of the site – the position where the menu moves down to show the header again.
