Slow server

Hello,
I redesigned my site using Vantage then paid for the premium plugin but seem to be having trouble with very slow server speed with my hosting provider who told me it was down to me not doing certain things with my site like:
Remove query strings from static resources
– Inline small CSS
– Defer parsing of JavaScript
– Make fewer HTTP requests
– Minify JavaScript and CSS

They tested all this at gtmetrix.com and again I have also with these results:

So can you tell me if this is all adding to my slow server and more to the point do you know how I can fix it as I love using Vantage theme.

    Hi David

    It might be marginally faster to switch over to enqueuing your parent stylesheet vs the current import method you’re using. You can find a Vantage child starter theme here.

    For the main challenge you’ve highlighted, give https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ a try. I’ve used it in the past with good results. It can take a little time to initially setup.

    Hello Andrew,
    Thank you for your reply I decided to just go and get a new provider so now with LCN on a WordPress server and the speed is very good and I also have w3 total cache installed but have a couple of issues still,one is “”Configure the Viewport”” on mobile view and the other is it’s now not showing my contact us page.
    Used Google PageSpeed Insights to check yet gtmetrix gives me 100% on both so not sure which to take notice of.

    Super, glad to hear you’ve made improvements on the server side of things.

    I glanced now and Google Page Speed Insights seems to be all good with issues of viewport.
