Slider widget problems

Hi,

I love Origami’s design, it’s close to what I want, but I’m having no end to complications customizing it.

Right now I’m struggling with the slider widget in PageBuilder. I can find no way to add pictures to the slider. Click Frame and options for video, background and foreground images appear, but nothing explaining how to add multiple pix for a simple photo slideshow.

How do you add multiple images to the PB slider? Does each pic go in its own frame? (What exactly is a frame? The documentation says it will be explained but it never is.) If I click on Frame and get the video options (but I don’t want video) then only one picture can be added to a frame, either as foreground or background; any attempt at adding another pic erases the previous one.

I’ve parsed the documentation and searched the forum but I don’t find anything that tells how to add a series of pics to PageBuilder’s slider widget.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Ed

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ed

    Thanks for reaching out.

Hopefully these have been the docs you’ve been reading on the topic:

    Page: Slider Widget Documentation

A frame needs to be added for each image. Use the Background Image button to add your background image.

Another way entirely of approaching this would be to add a regular WordPress gallery. Origami will then automatically create a slider for you. If you’re working in Page Builder you can add a regular gallery by inserting the Visual Editor widget, clicking Add Media then Add Gallery. Once in the Visual Editor widget it’s the same process as adding a gallery in the normal Visual tab outside of Page Builder.

    Hope that helps.
