Slider Only in the Menu Bar

Greetings helper guys.

I have an issue that I have not seen addressed in the forum. I have set up the slider widget for the home page as prescribed. However, the slider frames appear only in the Menu Bar. I see the bottom of whichever image is currently displayed — in the Menu bar. If I uncheck Menu Overlaps Slider I see no slider images at all.

If I revert back to the demo slider it works perfectly — with the demo video and images.

I thought that I might have a conflict with previously installed themes/plugins so I completely uninstalled WordPress. After reinstalling WordPress v4, Influence theme, and SiteOrigin plugins I went through the steps to set up the slider on the homepage — with exactly the same result. The slider works (with images or video) but it shows only in the menu bar. If I am doing something incorrectly I can’t find it. Maybe I missed a step?

I now have just one frame set as a test. Please have a look at it and let me know if you have a suggestion.

Hi! Go to Apperance….Customize…Then click on Static Front Page….Choose Static Front Page with the radio buttons and use the Front Page dropdown menu to choose the page with the slider. It will display on your home page.
    Cheers! ;)
