slider image size and boxed size

I was playing with slider size and boxed size to see if it would decrease the page size. Now upon restoring the 1080 width slider image, it won’t display correctly and the width in the slider screen seems to default to a 1010 width, cutting off the image, even when I set it directly to 1080 width. Is there another location where width is determined? Don’t know what I’ve done to create this problem.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Alice

    Thanks for running Vantage.

Can I confirm you’ve headed to Meta Slider in the WordPress left column menu and checked that the slider is still set to 1080? If this setting is showing 1080, please send through a set of temporary login details and a link to this thread to [email protected] and I’ll take a look.

Yes. I’ve worked in the MegaSlider window and have changed the images several times. However, this last time the image width is refusing to remain set at the width of the image which is 1080. The width window keeps turning to 1010. No idea where this came from? pw sent to your addy.

Sorry for typos – “Meta” Slider.

    Hi, I Work Here

Please head to Meta Slider and adjust the slider’s settings in the right column. Here is an image to indicate where.

    Meta Slider Width

Our documentation for this aspect of Vantage can be found here.

    Hope that helps.

As I mentioned, I have set and reset this width to 1080 and it keeps automatically reverting to 1010. I don’t know why?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the follow-up. I set the slider size to 1080px now. Under Advanced I set width to 100% and crop to Standard. All seems to be working as expected. Not sure why the setting was reverting back to 1010px when you were saving. Let me know if you need me to look into this further.

Frustratingly, the image size in Meta Slider is still reverting to 1010px. While the image now stretches to fit the space, the image itself is cropped. You can see the full image in the Media where it is clearly not cropped up to the text and is size 1080 width. ???

    Hi, I Work Here

Has the image been re-uploaded since I re-saved the slider at 1080px? Try that if you haven’t yet. Thanks.

OK – I deleted the slide and deleted the image. Reloaded the image and created the slider from the new image. It looks fine now in the Meta Slider window – correct width and height and looks fine in preview. Trouble is, now there is no image at all appearing on the site! ??? Did I forget something?

    Hi, I Work Here

I unfortunately can’t see Theme Settings with the account permissions my account has. Have you assigned the slider to the home page via Appearance > Theme Settings > Home: Home Page Slider?

Yes – Got it! Thanks so much!!!
