Hi Andrew, the solution you gave here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/meta-slider-in-blog-posts/ doesn’t really solve my problem.
Take a look at http://actwebdesign.com.au/ditchfield-test/job/bulk-earthworks/, the slider just doesn’t show up. Whether I use a full-width template or any template. Same with the blog page. Currently I have my blog posts page set to http://actwebdesign.com.au/ditchfield-test//News.
If I go into General settings and change my blog page to some other page, the slider will appear on this news page. Must be something to do with the blog template, but I can’t figure it out.
I’ll keep trying though. I guess another work around would be to put a static header image in a new masthead and somehow call the different masthead.

This is a post right? http://actwebdesign.com.au/ditchfield-test/job/bulk-earthworks/. Single posts unfortunately won’t show a slider unless you use a child theme with a custom header.
The method of using a page with a Post Loop widget will only work for the blog overview page but not for the single post pages. I run over the conditional statement you’d need to use in header.php within a child theme to handle the slider on posts here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/slider-does-not-show-up-in-single-post-or-single-php/
