SiteOriginButton open a Url depending on user input

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi,

I have added a SiteOriginButton on my site and added a OnClick JavaScript that open up a URL when clicking:

window.open(“http://www.expressen.se/sport”,”Test”,”toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,fullscreen=no,width=800,height=600,top=50,left=200″);

This works great but I need to have a textbox so user can enter part of the URL, e.g. “sport” in the URL above.

Can’t find any SiteOrigin text box to add with PageBuilder. Is there any or can you recommend other one and how to use the text input in my URL script above?

Thanks,
Henrik

    Hi Henrik

    I think you’d need to look into a form plugin like Contact Form 7, Ninja Forms, Gravity Forms etc. There might be other ways to do this but looking at it from a form perspective seems the most logical to me.
