Hi, I have WP set to one language, and the USER to English. It all seems to work fine BUT.
The widgets plugin shows available widgets in partial Danish?
I know they have English names so they are obviously translated to the main language, not respecting the user setting.
I do speak Danish, but it’s annoying to figure out things this way, I just wanted to give you great guys a heads up!
Hi Linda
Thanks for reaching out. I’m not quite following, can you perhaps send a screenshot of the problem. You can upload screenshots to a sharing site like imgur.com.
Hi!
Let's see if I got this right. Uploaded here: https://imgur.com/a/Wcr3kfE
Theme is Vantage
I do have a translation plugin for the site (GTRANSLATE) but I've seen the problem elsewehere on other sites with SO stuff, but that plugin not installed. So it could be a plugin conflict, but I don't really think so…
:-))
Hi Linda
Thanks for the screenshot.
The widget strings (names) are available for translation based on the language being set by WordPress, this isn’t something the Widgets Bundle directly controls. The Widget Bundle just makes strings available to be translated but doesn’t actively select the language pack to be used or when to use it.
At SettingsGeneralSite Language, which language is selected?
Danish, and has to be Danish…
Oh well. Some are translated some not, that is what is strange.
But I can live with it, no big fuss.
When I work during downtime hours I just set the general site language to
English, voilà.
Thanks for your understanding. We’re looking into the issue now and will hopefully, resolve in the next update. Thanks for letting us know.
