SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle/Page Editor Not Updating Content

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hi,

There recently was a new WordPress update and all of a sudden the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle/Page Editor is not saving my edits. I can see the edits within the widget, but on live view of the site, it has not updated. My dashboard does indicate that Genesis framework is in need of an update, but I can’t do that unless the theme owner updates it I guess… so I’m waiting to hear back from the person I bought the theme from…

Would the Genesis framework cause this? If not, what could cause this issue?

    Hi Mary,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If that doesn’t help, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
