My website (www.goldenthreadcounseling.com) has been updated with the latest WordPress, theme (MentalPress) and plugins. I hadn’t checked the site for several weeks until yesterday afternoon. I discovered that content on my home page doesn’t appear, as well as several other pages inside the site. When I check things out using the WP editor and Page Builder, I can see all of the widgets that I have built. However, when I click a widget to edit, I get the following message:
You need to install SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle to use the widget SiteOrigin_Widget_Editor_Widget.
Save and reload this page to start using the widget after you’ve installed it.
I attempted to reinstall the SO Widgets Bundle, but the install fails with a directory already exists message.
Strange thing is that SOME of my pages use the Visual Editor widget and that content appears to be fine. Some pages use both the Visual Editor and SO Widgets. The content placed using Visual Editor appears as designed while the SO Widgets content doesn’t appear at all.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
Sorry to hear about the hassle. Please, follow the guide below to access the
/wp-content/plugins/
folder, there you can delete theso-widgets-bundle
folder. Once that’s done you’ll be able to re-install the plugins from PluginsAdd New within WordPress.https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-destination-folder-already-exists-error-in-wordpress/
