SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle Deactivated & Disappeared.

I was successfully using the Site Origin Bundle to build my new website. When I updated your plug-in a message said “FAILED.” I deactivated the existing plug-in and was then going to delete it so that I could install the updated version. After I deactivated the old version, the plug-in disappeared and is now Hidden. When I try to install the new version., the message says there is already a file. I am new at this and don’t know how to get into the template files to add codes to kill it so I can upload the new version.

What do I do now? I lost all my pages I had built with your plug-in which I love. HELP! I’m In Over My Head!

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, sorry to hear about the hassle.

This is a failed update, it can happen with any plugin. The so-widgets-bundle folder will need to be manually deleted from /wp-content/plugins/ on your server using FTP or Hosting File Manager. You can then reinstall via PluginsAdd New in WordPress.

Here is a tutorial on this topic: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-destination-folder-already-exists-error-in-wordpress/
