SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle Contact Form

Hi folks,

after installing the SiteOrigin pagebuilder and the Siteorigin Widgets Bundle within the Contact Form I want to create a contact form in a unique contact page. I edit a new contact page and put a new row within the contact form widget. After setting the settings i di not find a Button to save the changes. Below the Editor on left side there is a button for “preview” on the right side for “ready” (in germany “fertig”). Both buttons hasn´t obviously no consequences and the new settings are even lost. How can I solve it?

Thanks a lot

    Hi KMSR,

There’s currently no method of saving individual widgets. To save your widget you’ll have to save the entire page.

    Hi Alex,

    thanks for your feedback.

    May I do anything wrong.

I opend a new page, transfer it to the pagebuilder, build up a new row with the pagebuilder, put the SiteOrigin WIDGET “”Contact Form” (wich I found in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle) in the row, edit the settings (first just my specific translations) ….

…. where can I save the new settings?

I click the finish Button (the editor closed) and save the changes to the page. Then I open the page out of the wordpress dashboard in a new tab and I find just the pre-settings of the Contact Form ( not my saved translations).

I tried some different options of saving (saving the page and reload it; change the settings first in the widget area before using the widget for the my contact page; and other trials) but nothing works. Where are my mistakes, what I did wrong?

The Contact Form Widget with all the settings has great potential if it works and I would like to use it.

    Do you have an idea?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi KMSR,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi KMSR,

Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ve logged this as a potential bug in our issue tracker. We’ll investigate this as soon as possible and try to come up with a fix. Did you make any changes to the settings for this plugin?

No, I am an absolut beginner with all of this. For working the “”WP Pixabay Search and Insert Plugin”” needs user account and a key from there. There are further no special options or settings.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi KMSR,

Okay thanks, I’ll run some tests and if we can’t replicate it we might need more information but in the mean time I guess you’re free to go. Jokes aside, is there anything else I can help you with in the mean time?
