SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle causes “HTTP error” when uploading images

Hi,

I have had problems uploading images to my media library. Whenever I attempt to, I get a HTTP error. I read several forums about it, and the general consensus was ‘deactivate all plug-ins, reactivate one at a time and see which causes the problem’. I’m afraid it was my SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle that caused the errors.

Are you able to advise? Or update the plug-in to avoid this again as it’s a great plug-in and I love the widgets.

Many thanks,

Tom

    Hi Tom

    Please can you try this:

    1. De-activate all plugins at once. Test the media upload, make sure its working.
    2. Now activate only the Widgets Bundle plugin, re-test. Is the upload now not working?

Hi Andrew. Just tried the above. It worked with everything de-activated but not with just the Widgets Bundle.

    Any further advise?

One other thing to note: when I reactivated my other widgets, the Page Builder by Site Origin had a fatal error and wouldn’t activate. This was rectified by de-activating the Widgets Bundle and then trying the Page Builder again.

Still experiencing the same problem, but it’s resolved when the Widgets Bundle is deactivated. Are you able to fix the bug?

    Hi, I Work Here

Apologies for missing your first reply, didn’t get the usual notification. Sorry about that. I can’t think why the Widgets Bundle would cause this. Let me ask Braam our primary developer on this product to take a look and offer his opinion on what might be the cause.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Can we please confirm:

    1. Are you using Vantage for the site in question?

    2. Can you confirm that the Widgets Bundle is up to date? Any updates for it pending under Dashboard > Updates?
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/
    Latest is 1.1.2.

    3. Please could you try getting in touch with your hosting company:
    a. Please request an increase in your memory limit. They can do this for you…usually.
    b. Please request a copy of your error logs. If you have cPanel or similar access you can often retrieve this yourself.

So, cover a lot of bases above, hopefully get this sorted. Memory limit makes sense…holding thumbs for that working.
