SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.14.1 Incompatible with PHP 7.2

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hi,

I have a website hosted by Flywheel. When they ran a site compatibility scan for PHP 7.2, I received an “INCOMPATIBLE” warning message for SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle version 1.14.1 (see below). I have updated to the latest version, so I am unsure if this is a false positive. Can someone review this message and let me know if it will be compatible with PHP 7.2? Thanks.

    Hi Liberty,

We’ve looked into the highlighted issues in the past. These warnings are coming up due to how PHP 7/7.1/7.2/7.3 Compatability Checkers check for compatibility. It’s basically missing the context and the context prevents the issue from occurring and flagging it incorrectly as a result.

In other words, these warnings are false positive and safe to ignore. You’re able to use PHP 7.2 (and 7.3) without issue.
