SiteOrigin Widget Bundle + Bever Builder

Hey there,

I’m having some problems with SiteOrigin Widget Bundle. I’m using Beaver Builder and contacted them first about this. Here’s what they said about the situation:

Our Dev was able to trace the issue to the compatibility file named sowb-beaver-builder.js on that plugin.

The SO Widgets Bundle is somehow trying to override FLBuilder._getSettings and replace it with their own. Unfortunately, their code is causing some issues. So I think it’s best if you notify them about this so they can fix their code.

Here’s a screenshot of the file with the code.

    Hi Eeva,

I’ve forwarded your feedback to the development team. To clarify, what issues are you specifically facing?

    Thank you Alex,

If I have the SiteOrigin Widget Bundle active, many of the Advanced BB modules are not working:

    – Accordion: is not showing the text inserted
    – Icon group: is not showing the icons that have been selected.
    – Testimonials: it’s not showing the actual testimonials, but you can insert a heading.

    I use Astra Theme.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Pokwerpok,

Unfortunately, I can’t replicate the stated issues. To clarify, what version of Beaver Builder are you using? Are you using the Lite version or one of the premium versions (which version)?

Also, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins (leave Beaver Builder active) and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If that doesn’t help, can you please try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes? This will allow us to work out if this issue is theme related.
