SiteOrigin Video Player used on the Virtue WordPress theme – Changing Video dimensions?

Hi!

How do i change the size of the video?

Currently i have an external Vimeo video places in the Video Player widget.
If placed as a full width content item within the row, when i scale the browser window to simulate a mobile device, all the page content scales as it should except the video which stays it’s large fixed pixel size, and disappears half off the page.
Similarly if i set the content row to include two items eg a text box or image to the left of the video, then the video becomes very small and sits within a dark grey box, and again does not scale with the page down to a mobile size.

Hope that makes sense – hard to describe!

Apologies as i’m new to this! The issue could be to do with the Virtue theme, or Vimeo itself i guess? i’m not sure.

Many thanks in advance for your help and advice!

Nicky

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nicky

We’ve solved this issue in our own themes by including a library called FitVids. The solution here would be to ask your theme developers to add this to their theme, or to install a dedicated FitVids plugin.

This one hasn’t been updated in quite some time, but it should still work properly.
