    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cwestcott

    Thanks for reaching out. Are you seeing that the top of your page when you view the front end of the site? If so, which browser are you using. Unable to replicate on our side.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Super, really glad to hear you made progress on this.

    Please, remember that all WordPress.org themes completely overwrite their own folders during theme updates. It’s not update safe to use Appearance > Editor for anything, unless, you’re using a child theme.

    For things like proving site ownership for Google etc. you can usually find a plugin to do the job. Perhaps WordPress SEO by Yoast.

    Hi Andrew So do you want me to edit the Vantage theme stylesheet styles.css or the siteorigin plugin , I'm not sure

    1. Edit the widget.
    2. Click Attributes top right.
    3. Enter the following into the CSS Styles field:

    margin-bottom: -40px;
    text-align: center;

    Adjust the negative margin as required

    Hi, I Work Here

    Sorry, not quite following. That sounds like me :) Are you referring to another thread. Never make any edits via Appearance > Editor, going back to my earlier warning:

    Please, remember that all WordPress.org themes completely overwrite their own folders during theme updates. It’s not update safe to use Appearance > Editor for anything, unless, you’re using a child theme.

    Sorry for repeating myself. This is a common mis-understanding with the WP admin that will hopefully be fixed soon. I do my best to let everyone know about this so none of their custom tweaks/edits are lost during theme updates.

    The CSS snippet you’re referring to is inserted by editing a widget, clicking Attributes tab top right and then following the rest of my instructions. If you let me know what you’re trying to change I can assist with more info if necessary.

    Thanks :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    No problem :)

    Please, keep in mind that all WordPress.org themes completely overwrite their own folder during theme updates. Ideally, no changes should be made via Appearance > Editor without the use of a child theme. They won’t survive a theme update.

    Head over to Appearance > Theme Settings > Premium and insert your order number in the field provided if it isn’t there already:

    Private Snippet

    Save and go to Dashboard > Updates. You should see an update pending for Vantage. Let us know how that goes.
