Hi there,
I am using SiteOrigin, and especially SiteOrigin slides. However, thew are not showing up on mobile. Instead, they are replaced with a blank space. I am trying on an IPhone 6.
Example: https://ahjv-tg.org/enfants-malnutris-nati/
Can you please let me know what I should do to fix this? Thanks!
Pauline
Hi Pauline
There is an error in the browser console that might be related. Please, try working through the below steps to see if a working baseline can be found. Thanks.
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I tried what you said and the issue is still there, so it is not a plugin conflict issue.
For the theme, could you please walk me through it quickly? Just want to make sure I don't do anything wrong that will have an impact on the website. Can I change themes and go back to the previous one without any issue?
Thanks so much.
There shouldn’t be any issues temporarily switching themes. To complete the test, ensure all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin are deactivated. Next, go to Themes and switch to Twenty Nineteen or Twenty Seventeen or another default theme. Test for the problem. Thanks.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks! I just switched to the Twenty Seventeen theme and I could see the slider on my mobile.
I am using Soma as a theme. Is there anything I can do now? Thanks!
Thanks for the update.
I’m, unfortunately, not immediately seeing the theme problem. It would probably take me quite a bit longer to locate the cause. In order to remain viable, we’re, unfortunately, limited in the amount of troubleshooting we can do in our free support scope. It might be worth checking to see if a plugin like SmartSlider3 works. That might be a quick workaround to resolve the problem.
