SiteOrigin Slider Widget + Vantage Premium bug?

By milan, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

Hello,
i’m having issues with the SiteOrigin Slider Widget. The Slider does not show up on my sites header area. In the sidebar and the footer it works though.
Im using the Vantage Premium Version: 2.2.3 and the newest SiteOrigin Widget Bundle.
I tried to include the slider in complete vanilla version of Vantage. Does not work. So i’m assuming it is a bug with the latest update of the SiteOrigin Widget Bundle?
Greetings
Milan

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Milan,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you’ve already tried this, would it be possible for you to send me an export for your test slider? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

    Hello Alex,
    thank you for the answer.
Yes, I tried all of this. Nothing worked.
    Private Snippet
And the website Private Snippet. (Maybe you can make this thread private?)

With Firebug you can see the slider in the

header-sidebar but it doesn’t show up.

    Thanks for the support

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Milan,

I can’t see anything wrong with your markup. Let’s try reverting to a previous version.
You can downgrade by navigating to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and find SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and deactivate it, then delete it. Click Add NewUpload Plugin and upload/activate this version. Does the slider work now?

    Hello Alex,
Yes, this works great. Thank you!
So I shouldn’t update the Widget Bundle in the future?
Could you please remove my website link or make this thread private, thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Milan,

    Preface: I’ve hidden your link.

I would recommend trying the next update when it’s released. Let me know if the issue occurs again.
