Hello experts,
on my website http://test.alrem.org/ I need to use SiteOrigin Slider and Polylang plugin. SiteOrigin Slider is functions well and I like it. But, when I activated the Polylang plugin, SiteOrigin Slider becomes like inactive although it still active.
Can you help to tune these together?
Hi Владимир
Thanks for reaching out.
I’ve done a quick test with Polylang, Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Slider widget using the same slider on two different linked language pages, English and French, just for examples and all seems ok. Have you perhaps made progress with this challenge since posting?
Hi Andrew,
thanks for your response!
I have not a progress because I don’t know what to do?
Can you describe me a process step by step – what did you do?
On my site I did that:
1) one language and using SiteOrigin Builder and add Slider – OK;
2) add Polylang plugin, after it I not see a Slider on Front page with main language;
after it I didn’t any more and ask here.
(sorry for my English, it’s not native)
Sure.
If you go to Pages you should see your designated Front Page. If you edit that, in the Polylang meta box in the top right column, have you assigned a second page to be the matched translated page?
Thanks for your patients!
Yes, of cause. I added a page in second language and not see the slider on both these pages :(
I use Russian as 1-st and Ukrainian as 2-nd languages.
Also, I got one more trouble: when I edit text the section ‘Intro FP: Call to action’ in page of Ukr language, the page of Rus language become Ukrainian too :(
You can see it:
Rus http://test.alrem.org/ru/
Ukr http://test.alrem.org/uk/
Is it may be problem that I set not correct links transformation for Polylang?
The duplication issue can be resolved by going to SettingsLanguagesSettingsSynchronization, ensure that Custom Fields is not enabled.
To sort the slider issue out, try going to JetpackSettings and disabling Photon.
Thanks, Andrew!
I used both of your instructions, but no one has effect.
Thanks for your kindness… I think about to change theme.
Sure. The theme shouldn’t have any influence on this. It might but it isn’t likely.
