When I add a background color to a row the color of the row looks like it’s about 10px off to the left and goes over the right side of the table about 10px. It doesn’t seem to align with the grid on my website.
Hi Username
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
http://www.gemcomfg.com
Thanks, the issue relates to the way the theme is styled. Are you the author of the theme?
If I remove the following declarations from the following rules, the problem is resolved:
The above isn’t intended to be taken as instructions, rather a quick look at a few styles which might be part of the problem.
You can also try going to SettingsPage BuilderLayoutFull Width Container and change that setting from
body
to#content
and see if that helps.I didn’t create the theme but I can edit it. Where would I find that declaration to edit it? Style.css?
Thanks for the update. I wish I could assist with this task, it’s unfortunately beyond the free support scope we’re able to offer.
Yes, style.css is where those rules are stored but changing them might negatively impact the rest of the site. If this was a production theme, not a custom theme, we could then perhaps help with compatibility. Perhaps give the setting I mentioned above a try, that might help to a degree.
I’m trying to locate that code to alter it and it’s not showing up in any file. Also changed the setting to #content and nothing changed. Is there any code I can add to the style.css to realign it?
Those styles could be in /css/responsive.css. I don’t expect this will be an easy task unless you have an intermediate understanding of CSS. We, unfortunately, can’t assist with customizations of this nature. I really wish we could. We have limited resources and do our best to offer free support within those constraints. If you’d ever like to hire a developer to help out, codeable.io is a great place to start.
