SiteOrigin Post Carousel – Transparent background

Hi I am using the Vantage theme :):)

In a row I have the siteorigin Post Carousel with a transparent background ( so can see the background image of the row) this looks great.

As I use a “rounded edge icon 150 x 150 image” as the feature image for the news post it leaves a “white” edge around the image which looks untidy.

As I can’t find away to make the edges of featured image holder background round is there a way to make the background transparent in the same manner as the carousel itself?

If you look at www.chatnsurf.co.uk at the bottom of the home page you will see the white edges and might explain more easily :(

As ever many thanks for a great theme and wonderful support.

    Hi Simo,

Unfortunately, this issue is happening due to the image itself not actually being transparent. The images were saved as jpg’s which sadly do not support transparency. You’ll need to re-render the images and save them as PNG’s for them to retain the transparency.
