SiteOrigin plugins not working in theme

Hello, my website has the VMagazine lite theme and last week it worked perfectly fine with the Page Builder by SiteOrigin & SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugins. But today it stopped working. My website turned blank and did not loaded. When I deleted the Page Builder by SiteOrigin & SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugins, my website was visible again. I really like the plugins and want them on my homepage.

Could you help me find a solution for the problem I am facing?

Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cynthia,

Does this issue occur again if you reinstall both plugins? I ask as it’s possible you may have experienced a WordPress plugin update issue and if that’s the case, you can fix this issue by reinstalling the plugins.

If reinstalling didn’t help, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If that doesn’t help, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Thanks for your reply!

Yes, this issue does occur again if I reinstall both plugins. I have tried reinstalling the plugins, but that does not solve the issue unfortunately.

I tried disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue, but it does not. I have also cleared the cache.

When I switched to another theme, I did not have any issues with the plugins, so I guess the theme is the problem.

Do you know how to fix it within the theme? Or should I look for another theme?

    Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cynthia,

I’m sorry to hear that. I would reach out to the developers of VMagazine to see if they have any ideas as to why this is happening. I see they’ve integrated with our plugins so I suspect they may have implemented something that doesn’t sit well with the latest update.
