Dear,
I made my WordPress website using SiteOrigin Page Builder. I’ve been absolutely loving it so far. However, when I published the site about a week ago and started optimizing it for Google, I ran across an issue that has been posted on the forum a numerous amount of times the past few years.
I installed Yoast SEO for my SEO optimization, but I can’t seem to get it to work with the content inside my Page Builder pages.
I’ve tried adding an empty text widget and a text widget with Lorem Ipsum text, then deleting it and doing it all over again. But it doesn’t seem to recognize the text inside the widgets in Page Builder.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Bob
Hi Bob
Thanks for reaching out.
Are you working in the Classic Editor (using the Classic Editor plugin) or the Block Editor?
Hi Andrew,
I’m working in the Classic Editor.
Thanks. Please, export the layout and upload it to wetransfer.com (no email address required) or the cloud hosting location if your choice and send us the link.
In Page Builder: LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout. We’ll take a look and advise from there.
Thanks
Hi Andrew,
Below you can find the download link to the layout of my homepage.

Thanks for helping me!
Thanks for the layout.
(It sounds like you’re already aware, but just to clarify, Yoast’s content analysis tool isn’t the same as Google’s crawler. If there are challenges between SiteOrigin sending data to Yoast, it doesn’t mean that data can’t be seen on the site front-end by Google.)
I’m hopeful we’ll make progress on this issue in the coming months. Here is where we currently are https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-panels/issues/675.
Currently, Page Builder can send data to Yoast for the following widgets:
Image
SiteOrigin Image
SiteOrigin Image Grid
SiteOrigin Simple Masonry
SiteOrigin Accordion
SiteOrigin Tab
SiteOrigin Button
Text
SiteOrigin Editor
In your layout, at the moment, only the Button widget is currently accounted for. Topslaap is an outbound link in my demo installation, as a result Yoast reads it as such.
Sorry, I can’t provide a solution for this at the moment. Hopefully, we will be able to soon.
Thanks anyway Andrew!
For sure. Thanks for your understanding. Cheer for now.
