I have inherited a client’s website that is using Vantage with SiteOrigin’s page builder. For some reason, when I try to edit certain modules within the builder, I get a preview of “Page Not Found” instead of the module content, which makes editing the module impossible. The site doesn’t have a caching system, and I’ve cleared my browser’s cache and still encountered the same issue. Below is a screencast of the issue – I’m rather at a loss here as I’m not very familiar with SiteOrigin Page Builder.

Hi :)
Thanks for reaching out.
Please reach out to your hosting company. Let them know you’ve been experiencing 404 errors when editing widgets in your WordPress site and you believe ModSecurity could be the cause. Your hosting company will then be able to review their ModSecurity logs and hopefully, adjust their rules to account for the false positives, assuming that’s the issue.
Please, let us know how it goes. Thanks.
Many thanks, Andrew. I have created a ticket with the hosting company, with whom I’ve actually had ModSecurity issues before, so this would not surprise me. I will post the solution here if it is indeed a ModSecurity issue.
Thanks, that’ll be great. Chat soon :)
