SiteOrigin Page builder Issue after website migration/restoration

I created a website on a development server using site origin page builder. I then migrated the website to a production server on a different host with duplicator plugin. Everything transferred successfully but the page layout was messed up. Upon checking the individual pages in edit mode, I noticed that edit mode was now default to Text mode. When I attempted to open the pages in page builder mode, the popup to transfer the files to page builder came up.

Anyway, none of the pages will open in page builder without me transferring page content. The implication of that is that I lose all the site layout I spent close to 2 weeks to build. I have disabled all other plugins and issue still the same.

I can create new pages with site builder without any issue, just can’t edit existing pages that was migrated/restored from previous server (development server)

Any assistance will be highly appreciated. Not sure if anyone else has come across this before?

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Wp_actor,

This is a fairly common sign of a failed migration. Basically, it means that your staging URL was replaced incorrectly inside of the panels_data field (where the page builder data is for each post). Outside of doing a full import again, you’re next best try a search and replace (search for your current URL, not the staging site) using a plugin that supports serialized data. Something like this plugin.

    Very sorry about this! :(
