Hello, I’m working on a clients website and they need their so-mission-widget to have a slower speed… how can this be done?

Thank you for any help on this.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joshua

    Thanks for reaching out.

We don’t have a Mission widget that I know of. If you’re asking about the Hero widget, there is an Animation Speed setting in the Slider Controls section.

    Hi, I Work Here

If you send a link to your site and let me know which part of the page to check I can confirm the widget.

    Andrew,
Thank you for the quick response. It was part of the SiteOrigin Widget
Bundle I believe. Attached is a screen shot of the SO Widget menu. It's the
'Mission Widget' and it doesn't have any speed settings in the widget menu or from the page builder settings options.

It is the widget placed on the left side of the red section. And here is the link:

If it’s a widget that the theme developer ‘cloned’ from one of SiteOrigin’s stock widgets… then where would I look to change the settings via css, js, or php? if you could just advise me on what to look for?

Or which stock widget would replace the functions of this so-mission-widget and have the option to control the speed?

    thank you for your time…

    Hi, I Work Here

Unfortunately, it isn’t one of our widgets. If there isn’t a speed option available you’d need to reach out to the developer and ask for assistance. It isn’t ideal to make any direct changes to the widget files as WordPress overwrites files during theme or plugin updates. However, the developer might have made the speed filterable so it could be a setting you can change in the functions file of a child theme or in a plugin like Code Snippets.

    Hi, I Work Here

The styles for this widget are in the theme’s style.css file so reaching out to the theme dev would be the best option.

Thank you for the info, and that’s pretty much what I figured and have tried…

Which one of SiteOrigin’s widgets would be best suited to replace this widget? it’s a simple vertical scroller showcasing website features with links.

    Hi, I Work Here

I wish I had something to offer, we don’t have anything like this at the moment. You could perhaps seek out a third-party option, one of them might have the speed setting you’re after: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=vertical+scroller.
