SiteOrigin Layout Slider – shifting slide heights

Is it possible to have an automatic, fixed height for slides to match the tallest slide? I have a slider on a homepage and as the slides shift, the whole page shifts with it. This is sort of accommodated for by giving the row a min-height attribute, but this is not a great fix long-term as that value should change as the content of the slide changes – which my client will do when I hand over the site to them and I don’t want them having to calculate heights. Similarly, this should be done for a number of viewport sizes … it’s just too cumbersome to maintain.

The short-term fix is to simply disable auto-scrolling of the slides, but ideally, the slideshow itself should be able to fix all slides to the height of the tallest slide so that we can put it on auto-sliding and not worry about doing anything else to prevent the page constantly moving up and down as the slides turn.

    Hi Adam,

Unfortunately, this isn’t currently possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on Codeable.
