SiteOrigin Image does not display thumbnail when set to create_thumb_square

I’m desperatly trying to set the SiteOrigin Image Widget to display my image as a Square Thumb.
I set the drop down menu in the widget area to create_thumb_square
But the page shows the original full image? I have tried Regenerate Thumbnails plugin with no luck.
I have also tried to set it to Thumbnail but the problem is the same – the original image is showing.
I’m going nuts, what am I doing wring? :)

Thank you!

    Hi Hectornado,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Hectornado,

Did you set up create_thumb_square? Or is that from a plugin / theme?

Oh, I see what you getting at. Thats not a default option from you guys, that option is added by the theme?
You are right :/ When switching to Twenty Fifteen the choice disappears.
I have also contacted the theme makers. But do you have any suggestions anyways?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Hectornado,

I haven’t tried it, but maybe the Simple Image Sizes plugin could help.

    Hi Alex!

I installed as you said. And regenerated images. I have made a size that is 300x300px and have my own thumb-name: strandverket-profilbild.
I have checked via the ftp and I can see the thumbs are there with file ending 300x300px.
    So far so good!

But when I’m creating a new page and edit the SiteOrigin Image widget and select my new thumb-name (see image) in the dropdown menu – it still shows the original image. I really thought I had it solved there for a while, but why does not the widget call the thumb I’m asking for do you think?

    Than you!
