“SiteOrigin Hero” not visualized

Hello, I’ve got a visualization problem since yesterday…

I was using theme Bento 1.2 version (almost I think, because It was installed in 2016, July).
Then I did 2 operations, I don’t know which of them caused a big problem of visualization of the pages: all images and logos are missing, also the logo of the website in the header, not yet visible on the pages.

The operations I did yesterdey were:
– installing a plugin (Popup Maker)
– upgrading Bento theme to the last version
– upgrading the 2 Siteorigin plugins to current version

Then, subsequently to this error visualization, to recover situation, I unistalled the Popup Maker plugin and tried to go back to an older Bento Version (1.4 and 1.1), and to older Siteorigin plugins version via WP Rollback plugin, but without any result.

I found that, particularly, the “SiteOrigin Hero” widget doesn’t appear on the pages..
If I go in “modify page”, I see all the structure I know, with widgets, texts, images, with all the data, exactly as it was before until yesterday.

These instead are normally working and visible on the pages: – siteorigins Editor, siteorigin Image, Siteorigin Headline.

I’m able, on the pages, also to add a new “SiteOrigin Hero” widget, but also a new one in a new page doesn’t appear when I publish the page… exactly as I’ve never add it.

Now in plugin manager, I noticed that in the available widget there is one named “Hero Image”, and not only “Hero”. Is this the problem?

How can I solve it?

Hoping for your answer… thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jonathan,

Can you try following our general WordPress plugin troubleshooting guide? From the sounds of things, this might fix your issue. Here’s a video on the process:

The first thing to check is server-side caching through plugins like W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, etc. If you have any of these caching/performance plugins installed, try clearing their cache and see if that helps.

It might also be browser cache. Try clearing your browser cache, and then refreshing the page to see if that helps.

You can read more about this sort of issue on the WordPress codex.

Next, you can try running a plugin conflict text. You can start by disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If that doesn’t help, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Now in plugin manager, I noticed that in the available widget there is one named “Hero Image”, and not only “Hero”. Is this the problem?

That’s the full widget name of the widget – it’s called the Hero Image widget.
