SiteOrigin Hero image blurry on mobile phone

I’m using SiteOrigin with the Bento wordpress theme.

My issue is that the hero image looks fine on the computer screen, but blurry on a mobile phone. I’ve played around with the ‘Height’ and ‘Responsive Height’ but not been able to fix the problem.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Hi KB2018

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your reply. I seem to have sorted the issue, I experimented by putting numerous sized files and altering the heights. The theme didn’t specify an ideal image size to use so I tried multiple options until I got one that worked.

I am however now having another issue! The two footer widgets (contact details and social media links) refuse to centre themselves but instead go into two columns. I cannot find any mention of widget columns in the customise tabs, and deleting the widgets and redoing them didn’t work. Even if there is only one widget, it still acts as if the centre of the whole page is to the left, even though in earlier versions of creating my website the widget was centered.

    Hi Katie

Glad to hear you’re making progress :)

The footer issue is more something for theme support. The issue would be the same even if you used a Text widget?

Most themes don’t give you footer columns, to reduce widget areas they just assign a column per widget added. We do the same with our themes. So two widgets will give you two columns. The widgets are centered in their respective columns, see: https://imgur.com/a/8BLEtVT.

If you’d like your two widgets in a single column you’d need to use Custom CSS to achieve that. That’s perhaps something theme support can assist you with.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes even with a text widget I have the same issue.

Thanks again for your help, I will ask the theme support team.
