SiteOrigin Hero Bug? Widget Missing From Page

Hello, folks!

Listen, I read another thread on here (closed) that talked of what appears to be a bug. A SiteOrigin Hero widget is missing from one of my pages (https://www.zodiacthumpdesigns.com/shop/). It should appear after “Shop” but before the three categories listed. However, it fails to appear. I will list the steps I’ve taken (some of which were suggested on the now closed thread) to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Made sure to click “Update” on Edit page (LOL)
2. Cleared my server AND client cache (not using any caching plugins on WP page)
3. Cleared “Use FitText” from the SOH edit menu.

However, the problem still persists. The thread also mentioned that there was a bug that was found in SiteOrigin. I’m fresh out of ideas. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Andre,

Unfortunately, this appears to be the general inability for SiteOrigin Page Builder to affect the shop page. To clarify, when you assign a page as the shop page, WooCommerce will convert it to an archive (which is handled differently to a regular page). Currently, SiteOrigin Page Builder isn’t able to affect archives which looks to be why it’s not working in this instance.

Can you please try using a hero widget on a different page to confirm if you’re able to use it?

    Hey Alex,

Thanks for the reply! Sorry it took so long to get back. Ok – I understand that any page labeled as “Shop” will basically cause WooCommerce to render Site Origin useless on that page? Or is it just that particular “Hero” widget? My SiteOrigin Hero widgets works on any other page that I’ve placed it on except that one – and the thing is, it used to work before some kind of update, LOL. Would you know of any way to work around this? Appreciate your help!

    Hi Andre,

SiteOrigin Page Builder isn’t able to effectively display on the WooCommerce shop page due to how WooCommerce handles the shop page description. With that said, it’s possible certain basic elements of SiteOrigin Page Builder may carry over but the SiteOrgin Hero can’t due to the dynamic nature of it.

There’s no real work around at this time.
