SiteOrigin fails on Membership2 (Wpmudev plugin) Register Page

Help would be tremendous!
I’ve been talking left, right and centre trying to resolve this and have been directed back here and that it is a SiteOrigin issue — for some reason the Membership2 plugin is not responding when the page is built using SiteOrigin — all of my other pages use SiteOrigin (LOVE IT) and I’d like to keep using it — so here I am…it is an issue inside SiteOrigin — if anyone has suggestions or ideas, please let me know, otherwise the genius developers behind SiteOrigin, if you could let me know or have an update for this, that would be overwhelmingly awesome!! Thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dr.B,

Can you please elaborate on SiteOrigin Page Builder causes Membership2 to fail on your register page? I ask as I’m not familiar with issues with this plugin (and SiteOrigin Page Builder) so I’m not too sure what sort of issues you’re experiencing.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hi Alex,

SiteOrigin had to be removed from the page for it to work properly so I crated a button that would then lead to the ‘other’ page that didn’t use SiteOrigin. There seems to be a conflict. For example, now I am seeing with the text widget and how I have inserted these into rows, when I preview the page, some pages have these underneath one another, or the images are cut off (each text widget has an image) — desktop is responsive, however mobile has 2/3 different versions of how it is spitting out the layout rather than it being uniform — this isn’t ideal obviously.

The text widget (with image) is in one row — with 3 x widgets (text) next to one another — this “row” is used as a section break (if you like) and appear at the top and bottom of the majority of pages and at times, between throughout these pages — desktop — no problem (I have resolved these) but mobile is quite over the place with some appearing in line with widgets cut off, then others, bunched underneath one another (vertical) and then another, smaller size with still a cut off — I can send through screenshots if this is helpful (although i’ve tried to explain it first so hopefully it all is clear).

Is there something that could fix this? Also, the site is currently being developed so there is no open URL.

Thanks Alex, I really appreciate it.

    Hi Dr.B,

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

Thanks Alex — all set up!

There have been a number glitches all over the place, for example, when using ‘rows’ there have been ‘rowclasses’ necessary for the rows to respond. Also, you’ll notice I’m a big fan of SiteOrigin so use the plugin near on all pages, however some I’ve been unable to as it has been unresponsive — perhaps there are theme clashes, I’m really not sure. Once clash of caste appears with ‘cool timeline’ plugin, however this could be theme related — please have a look around and any feedback is welcome, as well as any tweaking you feel would optimise the performance, please let me know.

A big thank you in advance for responding and for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dr.B,

    Sorry for the delay.

Can you please reset the password of the account and set it to send to us? I ask as we currently don’t know the password. This will also tell us the URL of your website.

By the way, I forgot to ask you but can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for getting back in touch.

I have actually run a plugin test only a few hours ago, including switching themes and deactivating all plugins other than SiteOrigin and the issues still remain — these happen on essentially all pages as I use SiteOrigin throughout my site. Button layout and row layout and responsiveness isn’t ‘behaving’ and the same goes for mobile. Again, all plugins have been deactivated and the theme switched and the same errors occur.

My apologies for the login — I’m not sure why it isn’t sending so please use the email address previously discussed and your new password I have changed to Private Snippet (please delete this thread).

Also, currently I am not a premium member, however if this is necessary to resolve these issues then I’m more than happy to sign up, however other feature etc I am not in need of, just the SiteOrigin page builder function I have grown to value in its use — and why there are now a number of issues due to my significant use of the plugin.

I hope you’re able to get back in touch shortly.

    Thank you.

    Dear Alex,

Please try now — there was a security measure in place blocking all users who attempted wp-login access — I didn’t think it would affect you. I have temporarily disabled it so you can now login.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dr.B,

    Sorry for the delay.

Thanks. I’ve worked out the cause of this issue and it’s a tad tricky to fix reliably. Basically, this issue was introduced when we removed the content cache in SiteOrigin Page Builder (we plan on re-introducing it but it’ll require a complete recode before that can happen as it was causing more issues overall). The content cache runs page builder basically as soon as possible which in turn allowed for Membership 2 to filter the registration page correctly due to its non-standard priority. After Content Cache was removed, Page Builder runs at the default priority (10) which effectively means we run our code after Membership 2 which means that the Membership 2 registration page won’t work due to when it processes that data.

Does that make sense? I’m in the process of working out a solution for this but it’s proving to be very problematic due to how they handle filters. I would recommend reaching out to WPMU DEV about this issue as they may have a suggestion. Sorry mate. :(
