When I look at the Activity Report for my website from Jetpack, there is a continual “SiteOrigin Editor Widget modified” appearing. For example, on the October 9th starting from 12:33 am up until 9:09 pm there are 30 occurrences of “SiteOrigin Editor Widget modified” on my websites activity report. This SiteOrigin Editor Widget being modified happens multiples times daily, & it is not done any administrators. Is this normal or is this unusual activity?
Hi, thanks for posting.
We’re setting up a demo to try and recreate this. In the meantime, head over to SettingsPage Builder and deactivate Sidebars Emulator. Once deactivated, do a quick check of your Page Builder pages to make sure they aren’t negatively impacted. This a guess as to where the false positive might be. Do the logs change after Sidebars Emulator is deactivated?
No luck recreating the issue on two of our live sites. Let us know if the Sidebars Emulator setting helped. If not, is there a specific widget on a specific page that’s being logged?
Unfortunately, deactivating the SideBars Emulator setting has not resolved the issue. The SideBar has been deactivated for 24 hours; as soon as I logged out of the website admin at 1:49 pm the SiteOrigin Editor widget modified activity began again at 1:50 pm. There is no specific widget or page listed as being logged, just a generic activity message. A screenshot of today’s activity here. This is the activity I see every day, there are short breaks between lots of modifications. No activity while I am logged in as the Administrator, not sure if that information is helpful.
Thanks for the feedback.
You could perhaps try using https://wordpress.org/plugins/aryo-activity-log/ to see if any additional information on these changes can be found.
