SiteOrigin Editor not working after update (new one)

hi there,
saw an earlier topic on this which is closed already but wanted to reply to this as I’m facing similar problem after the WP update.
I’m using the Mesmerize theme

When I try to edit my homepage with the Siteorigin Editor also the button to switch to visual is gone.

Already verified that the “Visual Editor” is unticked.
updated wp_config.php to disable CONCATENATE SCRIPTS as well

result, I still can’t see my modifications on the page after saving/promoting.

very frustrating this is.

Looking forward to some help.
thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Willem,

Have you ruled out a plugin conflict? If not, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme relate

If you have, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    hi Alex,
thanks for your reply and advise which is much appreciated.
Found an older backup of my site which I’ve restored.
    All was working fine again.

Then started processing the updates one by one and verifying all was working fine.
Till I got to the last plugin update from Mesmerize Companion.

It’s in Dutch but I guess it makes sense:

    Mesmerize Companion
Je hebt versie 1.5.67 geïnstalleerd. Naar versie 1.6.91 bijwerken. Details van versie 1.6.91 bekijken.
Compatibel met WordPress 4.9.8: 100% (volgens de auteur)

This one is causing the SiteOrigin Editor to stop working !!!

unfortunately there is no such option as to “ignore this update”

Simply have to remember not to update to the latest version.

    anyway, thanks again.
    cheers,
    Willem

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Willem,

Great to hear. I’ve logged this issue with the development team. I would also recommend reporting this issue to the developers of Mesmerize also.
