SiteOrigin Editor not working after update

Hi,
After updating the page builder and widgets bundle I can’t seem to be able to edit the content on my sites anymore. If I am trying to edit some existing text that was created with the SiteOrigin Editor I can see the text but ‘visual’ appears blank. And if I modify it on the ‘text’ section it won’t save it. This also happen if I create a new page. Other widgets seem to work (fr example images and buttons). Everything was working fine before the update.
I have tried disabling all the plugins but it still doesn’t work.
Please help as this has happened in 3 of my sites which have the Vantage theme.

Thanks in advance!

Vantage 1.7.8
WordPress 4.9.7

Page Builder Version 2.7.2
SiteOrigin CSS Version 1.2.3
SiteOrigin Widgets bundle Version 1.12.1

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Academy64,

Preface: Please disregard my previous reply.

Cloudflare’s Rocket Loader is causing issues for certain people. Are you using Cloudflare / Rocket Loader? If so, please exclude WP Admin from Cloudflare. The linked article title isn’t directly related to this error, but the provided instructions in the article will tell you how to disable Cloudflare in the WP Admin directory.

Thanks so much for your reply Alex S.

    I don’t use Cloudflare or Cloudflare’s Rocket Loader :(
I saw that there is a new update for the Page Builder (to Version 2.7.3) but even after the update the issue is still there.
I realised that Visual is not exactly blank, it’s the same as the ‘Text’ section but in white instead of black so it looks blank. And if I click on Text I can’t go back to Visual.

What else could be the issue?

    Thanks again.

I also tested it with a default theme and the issue was still there. I contacted my host and they suggested reinstalling Page Builder but I am worried that I will loose my content or that it will modify it. Would that be the case if I reinstall it?
Hope this issue gets resolved soon :(

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Academy,

Hm. I suspect the visual editor is disabled for your WordPress account. Please navigate to WP AdminUsersYour Profile and ensure Visual Editor is unticked.

    Hi Alex S,
    Thanks again.
But Visual Editor is unticked… so it’s not that either :(

    Hi Academy,

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Academy,

Thanks. This appears to be a general WordPress update issue. To fix this, please disable CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS. This will require you to edit wp-config.php. For assistance with editing this file, please reach out to your hosting provider.

    Thank you! It works now!!

Hi, I’m having the same issue but with another one of my sites.

The difference is that it uses a different template: Highend and this template uses wp bakery builder as well. However it used to work fine with both and now there seems to be a conflict.

I tried all the above (apart from reinstalling page builder) but they haven’t worked.

    What else could I do?

    Thanks so much in advance!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Academy64,

To clarify, are you using SiteOrigin Page Builder on the other site or is this issue affecting WPBakery?

Regardless, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If that doesn’t help, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

Hi Alex S, thanks so much for your reply! for some reason I only saw this now.
I have used both plugins with no issues before.
I have disabled everything and it is still not working.
I even temporarily switched to a default WordPress theme and the issue was still there.
    What else could I try?
    Thanks again!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Academy,

Thank you for trying the plugin conflict test. To confirm have you disabled CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS on this new site also?

    Hi, I Work Here

Please create the account on the site with the broken editor.

You can create the account with the following email address:

    Private Snippet

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and Private Snippet for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Hi Alex, I am not getting the send the password field as an option… Why could that be? Is that a new change from wordpress? I used to have that. Let me know how I can set it up for you. Thanks again

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Academy64,

I’m not too sure. I would reach out to WordPress about that.
Regardless, please leave Send User Notification ticked and create the account – I’ll reset the password.
