SiteOrigin Editor not working…

Hi there!

I am working on a site using the Storefront theme with WooCommerce and I am wondering why the SiteOrigin Editor is not working. The Text widget is what I have been using in the meantime but for the client to use, I would like them to use the editor since it is easier for them, and it has more options for them if they want to bold text, or italicize, etc..

It was working before but for some reason now it is not. When trying to update the SiteOrigin Editor widget on pages that I have placed before it just removes the content put before and does not update the revisions I’ve made when updating.

Can anyone take a look and provide some help?

Thanks!!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ubopad,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi there,

I have looked into it and disabled plugins and cleared my cached, logged back in.. but it is still having an issue when I didn’t before. I am wondering if I give you login and URL if you can take a peak to let me know if there any way possible to have this fixed?

I just realized from looking around other people have been having issue with this plugin and having content deleted from the update or the updated WordPress..

    Thanks!

    Hi Ubopad,

I can assure you the other threads are unrelated – there are currently no widespread problems.
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Cali4niaKim,

I’m sorry to hear this. :(

According to your thread posted (which I just bumped the priority for), your issue actually relates to Page Builder rather than the SiteOrigin Editor widget. This means that, unfortunately, I can’t assist you in this thread. Sorry mate. :(

With that said, I would recommend running a plugin conflict as that will typically resolve your sort of issue. For reference, here are our typical suggested plugin conflict steps:

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ubopad,

Oh, sorry. Everything but the last row is a prebuilt layout (trying to trigger the issue by having a lot of data present), the last two widgets are the SiteOrigin Editors I made to try and have the above layout affected. I’m able to edit them without issue. Are you?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ubopad,

I was able to successfully edit that editor – I added “test” to the bottom of editor. Can you please try editing it in another browser or on another computer?
