SiteOrigin Editor Doesn’t Allow Font Color Changes

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hi there,

I seem to be unable to override the theme’s standard font color in SiteOrigin’s Editor. Usually, I make changes to the Design option on the left of the widget, and that usually works, however with the iCare theme, I can’t override it.

I found this from an old forum: https://siteorigin.com/thread/font-color-wont-change-in-editor/

And the option to change font colors from within the text portion of the Editor widget isn’t even an option for me. Is this a premium feature or am I use a buggy/out of date SiteOrigin plugin?

Thanks!

    Hi Ashley,

Unfortunately, the row/widget styles aren’t always able to work due to theme styling being more specific than our CSS. This sadly isn’t something we can bypass – sorry mate. :(

Regarding your other question, the color options in the editor are hidden by default in WordPress. To access the second toolbar please click the Toggle Toolbar button:

Then select the text you wish to change the color of and select the A in the secondary toolbar – select your desired color.

If the other toolbar is toggled, and you still don’t have an option to change color, can you please show me a screenshot of what your SiteOrigin Editor widget looks like in the admin area?
